Software Engineering - Web/Javascript (Northeastern Co-op)

Opportunities for January 2027 Priceline is currently recruiting for co-op positions in the following roles on our NYC teams: • Software Engineering - Web/Javascript • Software Engineering - Full Stack Our Team Join an agile team of smart and talented professionals dedicated to building the next generation of travel applications.

Our Technology team, composed of a number of sub-teams and approximately half of the people at Priceline, plays a central and critical role in the company:  building and maintaining applications that serve millions of customers, and enabling the business to grow and evolve.

At Priceline, our Technology, Product, and Business team members work closely together to define and achieve our goals, creating an engaging and collaborative work environment where everyone’s ideas are heard and the team priorities are well balanced and aligned with company goals.

Our Technology The technology at Priceline needs to serve our customers and support our business, holding up to the scale & growth of our business (hundreds of millions of searches a day), while allowing for fast and safe innovation.

The quality of our work is very important to us.  For example, we believe in software craftsmanship and that there is real value in developing software that can be easily understood, maintained, and extended.

We are very proud of the software and systems we have built, and we always have ambitious and exciting plans for what’s next.  We employ new technologies when and where we think they will benefit our efforts, and we leverage third-party tools and frameworks when we think doing so is a better strategy than building our own.

Our technology landscape is always changing and evolving, and we have a constant cadence of improving existing applications, building new applications, and deprecating old applications.

Currently, our technology stack includes the following: • JavaScript and frameworks, including Node.js, React/Redux, and GraphQL • Java, Go, Kotlin and frameworks, including those from Spring.

• iOS and Android languages and tools • Cloud deployments, tools, and capabilities from providers like GCP and AWS. • Various database, streaming, and search technologies, including Cassandra, Kafka, Spark, and Solr.

• Third-party tools, including GitHub, Splunk, Fastly, Perimeterx, New Relic, PagerDuty, Slack, Jira/Confluence, and Zoom. Our Culture Considering the large size of our business and the number of customers we have, Priceline has a relatively small team, including just a few hundred technologists.

This allows us to have a culture with both the agility and energy of a startup and the stability and resources of a Fortune 500 company.  It also means that we need to work smartly and effectively.

Although we do work hard at Priceline, we strongly value a healthy work/life balance.  We enjoy what we do, enjoy the camaraderie of the wonderful people at Priceline, continuously learn and grow, and appreciate the impact we each can have on the business.

If you were to walk through one of our offices or join one of our Zoom meetings, you would see that we dress casually, engage in spirited discussions regarding our work, and embrace an open environment where everyone is approachable.

Priceline is also a mindful, respectful, and ethical company.  We have clearly articulated our mission, purpose, and values, and they are a big part of our culture: Our Mission : To be the best travel deal makers in the world.
