Eligibility Note: To qualify for a student (Co-op/Internship) opportunity, students must be enrolled in their academic studies at a post-secondary institution (university/college) and must be returning to school after completion of their work term with QuadReal.
If you are a student registered in an official co-op program at your post-secondary institution and completion of a final work term is a mandatory component for you to graduate, you are eligible to apply with the understanding that you will leave QuadReal at the end of your work term or have the possibility to be considered for full-time opportunities.
Based in Vancouver, the Co-op/Intern, Global Portfolio Management, will report to the Associate, Global Portfolio Management. The Intern will assist with advancing the international team’s portfolio analytics, optimization and reporting, as well as gain broad exposure to the investment process by working closely with multiple teams (Investment, Asset Management, Development, Valuations, Research and Finance) across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific What We Offer: • An organization and leaders that support your development through meaningful work experience • A Student Mentorship Program designed to provide support throughout your experience • Opportunities to build your industry knowledge through weekly Speaker Series & Fireside Chats • Opportunities to participate in case competitions within QuadReal during your work term, fostering cross-functional collaboration with intern peers and enhancing exposure to real-world problem-solving.
• Giving back to the community with your peers and team members through volunteering events • Opportunities to build long-lasting industry and professional relationships What You Will Experience: • Advance QuadReal’s agenda for driving insight at the portfolio level by contributing to scenario modelling, cash flow forecasting, debt and liquidity analysis.
• Understand and gain exposure to all aspects of the real estate lifecycle — acquisition/ development, business plan implementation, stabilization and disposition.
• Assist with the quarterly valuation process, investment performance, real estate operating metrics, and other KPIs. • Build and manage complex financial models to analyze the portfolio.
• Collect and validate operational, performance and benchmark data from various internal and external sources. • Work with multiple teams to audit and maintain proprietary databases and reporting dashboards for accurate and timely reporting.
• Analyze quarterly reports, financial statements and investment documents to identify key investment factors and risks to the portfolio. • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and ad hoc management reports for senior management, board meetings and BCI.
What You Will Bring: • Currently enrolled in an academic program preferably in Real Estate, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science or Economics.
Working towards CFA an asset. • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; detail-oriented and proficient in building and handling complicated data sets.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate and present results that articulate key themes and messages.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word; knowledge of Argus Enterprise, PowerBI , and Power Query a plus. Familiarity with AI-enabled tools to support research, analysis, or productivity is considered an asset.
• Must be able to allocate time effectively and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple demands and competing priorities, and adapt to new ideas and change.
Comfortable following direction but also contributing to the direction. • Must be extremely proactive and work well in a collaborative environment, with the ability to take guidance but then move projects forward independently.
• Embrace and pro-actively support QuadReal’s values and its culture of environmental sustainability and corporate and social responsibility. • Previous experience working in an investment management, real estate company, advisory firm, or appraisal firm desirable.
A strong interest in financial markets/real estate essential. The expected hourly rate for this role is $28. #LI-DNP The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.
