  • Enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, power systems, and renewable energy technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred, not required

  • Coursework in power systems, electrical machines, renewable energy, circuits, controls, or related disciplines preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, PVSyst, MATLAB, or similar engineering software is a plus.

S. through the acquisition of a large U.S.-based PV solar and battery storage project developer. This transaction was Repsol's first foray into the U.S.

renewables market. In 2024, Repsol made another strategic acquisition of ConnectGen from Quantum Capital Group. Repsol Renewables Services North America ("RRSNA") is targeting to own and operate 3-4 GW of renewable capacity in North America by 2027.

RRSNA is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team and support the development, construction, operation, and optimization of utility-scale solar, wind, and battery energy storage projects across the United States.

This is a twelve (12) week program starting May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, in Downtown Houston. Key Responsibilities: • Support Electrical Engineering team members in the design, development, and execution of renewable energy projects.

• Assist with the review of electrical drawings, specifications, and design packages for solar, wind, and battery energy storage facilities. • Perform engineering calculations and analysis related to power systems, electrical equipment, and renewable energy generation.

• Assist in the development and review of single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, cable schedules, and electrical design documentation. • Support project teams in evaluating equipment such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, battery systems, and collection systems.

• Analyze system performance data and assist with troubleshooting electrical and operational issues. • Participate in project design reviews and cross-functional engineering meetings.

• Assist with commissioning, testing, and startup activities for renewable energy facilities when applicable. • Support construction and field engineering activities through site visits and technical assessments.

• Maintain engineering records, drawings, reports, and project documentation. • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project updates for management and project stakeholders.

• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and equipment manufacturers to support project objectives. • Perform other duties as assigned.

• Basic understanding of electrical engineering principles, power systems, and renewable energy technologies. • Coursework in power systems, electrical machines, renewable energy, circuits, controls, or related disciplines preferred.

• Experience with AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, PVSyst, MATLAB, or similar engineering software is a plus. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to be self-motivated with strong attention to detail. • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. • Ability to excel in a multidisciplinary team environment as well as independently.

• Exemplary standards of integrity, safety, ethics, quality, and productivity. Travel Requirements: • Ability to travel periodically to project sites throughout the United States.
