We are looking for professionals to join our Byhalia, MS team as an Environmental Specialist Intern. The position is scheduled from 8AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday.

What you will be doing: • Ensure the Plant operates within its air-, title V-, and other permits at all time and that annual reporting and submissions are done to WVDEP / EPA as per deadlines.
Develop and maintain storm water plans, spill prevention plan, hazardous waste contingency and dust control plans. • Participate in the implementation of new raw materials where these can have an impact on the environmental approvals.
• Daily evaluation of relevant environmental data to prevent a gradual change of the process. • Weekly reporting of environmental Key Figures (KPI’s) • Oversee that all appropriate managers are trained and work in accordance within local and outside legislative requirements.
• To perform internal audits as per Rockwool Group rules and regulations. • Environment Responsible for employees being familiar with, and working according to, all Environmental requirements applicable in the area of responsibility, and furthermore working towards a continuous improvement of environmental requirements.
• Inspires employees in such a way that they contribute to a continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System. What you bring: • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental engineering or related field.
• Experience in Title V air permit compliance is preferred. • Act as a ROCKWOOL ambassador demonstrating our core values of Ambition, Integrity, Responsibility and Efficiency.
