- You are studying electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electronics, telecommunications, or a similar technical field.
- You are interested in IoT, embedded systems, and wireless technologies.
- You have some programming experience with C and Python, through university courses, personal projects, or previous work.
- You enjoy hands-on technical work, experimenting, and solving problems.
Nice to have
- Software Defined Radio (SDR) or GNU Radio.
- RF and wireless communication fundamentals.
- Wireless protocols and IoT technologies.
- Basic knowledge of electronics and schematic/PCB design.

Our Hungary team is involved in RF chip design and related software, hardware, and tools development. We’re looking for students with an interest in IoT and wireless technologies who would like to gain hands-on engineering experience working with embedded software, test automation, and hardware.
What You Will Ge t
We offer interesting internships for students who are passionate about IoT and enjoy building and experimenting with technology. From day one, you will contribute to real engineering projects and work alongside experienced Applications Engineers.
The internship will give you practical experience with Silicon Labs wireless products and exposure to different areas of IoT development, including embedded software, Python development, automated testing, RF measurements, and basic hardware development.
You will have opportunities to learn new technologies, develop your engineering and debugging skills, and see how hardware and software come together in real wireless systems.
The internship has flexible working hours and is designed to be compatible with university studies.
What you will do
Depending on the projects you work on, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop and modify embedded applications for wireless and IoT devices.
- Write Python tools and scripts for automated testing and measurements.
- Set up, test, and experiment with wireless systems and IoT devices.
- Help develop hardware and software tools for device integration and debugging.
- Perform measurements, collect and analyze results.
- Gain hands-on experience with wireless test equipment and development tools.
- Work with Applications Engineers on practical hardware, software, and wireless engineering problems.
Who You Are
- You are studying electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electronics, telecommunications, or a similar technical field.
- You are interested in IoT, embedded systems, and wireless technologies.
- You have some programming experience with C and Python, through university courses, personal projects, or previous work.
- You enjoy hands-on technical work, experimenting, and solving problems.
- You are willing to learn new technologies and tools.
- You have good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Bonus Skills and Experienc e
Any experience with the following is a plus, but not required:
