What you'll own
- Provide administrative and operational support for cultural resource management projects, including archaeological surveys and report preparation.
- Conduct archaeological fieldwork under supervision, which may include pedestrian survey, shovel testing, data collection, and/or data recovery in diverse environmental conditions.
- Assist with project-related tasks such as artifact processing, data entry, curation, report figure production, site form preparation, desktop survey, and consultation activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic computer and data entry skills.
Requirements and eligibility
- EXPERIENCE: No prior Cultural Resource Management work experience is required.
- EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours toward a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a closely related field by the start of the internship
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively.

• Conduct archaeological fieldwork under supervision, which may include pedestrian survey, shovel testing, data collection, and/or data recovery in diverse environmental conditions.
• Assist with project-related tasks such as artifact processing, data entry, curation, report figure production, site form preparation, desktop survey, and consultation activities.
About You • EXPERIENCE: No prior Cultural Resource Management work experience is required. • EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours toward a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a closely related field by the start of the internship • SPECIAL SKILLS: • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively. • Candidates must have the ability to work outdoors in varying field conditions, walk long distances, carry up to 40 pounds of equipment, stoop, and squat.
