About the team: Analytics and Automation Centre of Excellence is a focused Network Services group responsible in advancing Network Services’ capabilities in automation, orchestration, data analytics, tooling, and all aspects of functionality integrations within SLF ecosystem of tools and their capabilities in support of and in accordance to learnings we have had thus far in our Digital Enterprise journey.
This role reports and operates under the general direction of the Director, Analytics and Automation Centre of Excellence to increase efficiency, and has primary responsibility for tooling, analytics, and automation design/delivery/capability management for the network ecosystem.
Main Accountabilities: Assist in advancing the enabling technologies for Automation, Data & Analytics, DevOps, API, and Digital Assets, within Network Services’ and business partners for on-premises or in-cloud services and technologies.
Help Develop and deploy automation and analytical solutions, data extraction tools, visualizations, dashboards, machine learning models, and promote analytics throughout DBTS.
Participate and collaborate with AACoE peers and ENS stakeholders to, improve processes, increase efficiency by delivering analytics and automation solutions that are effective and secure.
Perform analysis and communicate reports gained from data, transforming them into insights of actionable solutions, helping the stakeholders to make educated business decisions.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Competencies: Education and Experience Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent (Bachelor of Science degree an advantage) Progressive network and information technology, data extraction, data visualization and analysis.
Practical and hands-on experience in coding using one or more programming languages in Python, R, C++, Java, Perl Knowledge in Network Programmability and integration with YANG, YAML, XML, JSON, NETCONF, RESTCONF Competencies: Thrives in an Agile and fast-paced environment, with the ability to stay calm in high-risk, high-pressure situations.
Experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive network technical documentation. Programming, Coding, API (RESTFul/SOAP), Automation experience (Nice to have).
Familiarity with DevOps tools and monitoring systems Communications Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with other teams, remaining professional, positive and patient always.
Prepares and presents service level updates and status reports on Projects, Network Statistics, Budgets, etc. **Interns in this position will work fully on-site at our Waterford office for the duration of their internship.
