- Stipends may be offered based on eligibility and program criteria.
- Dedicate 40 hours each week (maximum of 8 hours per day) to your internship responsibilities and tasks.
- Receive free, unlimited space available travel privileges for yourself (taxes and fees may apply on international travel).
- Interns will be provided any required equipment, such as a laptop, for the internship

The Southwest Airlines’ Facilities Planning Intern may be asked to support a variety of projects within the Corporate Facilities Team. They'll support the Corporate Facilities Team in leading strategic projects and ensuring alignment within the Department, as well as with other Departments. This role assists with cross-functional initiatives, process improvements, and project oversight to ensure timely and high-quality execution. Responsibilities include conducting research and analysis, preparing reports, and providing insights from data. The intern will also collaborate with others across the Facilities organization and may support data analytics projects.

Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of Facilities Planning Intern may include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with Leaders and counterparts throughout the Facilities organization to deliver prioritized Department objectives
- Drive internal and cross-departmental initiatives in support of Facilities strategy and continuous process improvement
- Deliver process enhancements and special projects across the Facilities function
- Perform project oversight to ensure work is planned, executed, and reported on in a timely manner and with high quality
- Perform and interpret ad hoc research and analysis to assist with driving decisions
- Develop accurate, timely, and comprehensive reports to facilitate management decision-making
- May perform other job duties as directed by employee’s leaders.

Education
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required
- Progress toward a degree, major, or minor in in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, Project Management, Consulting, Facilities Management or similar degree required
- Progress towards a 4-year undergraduate degree preferred

Experience
