What you'll do

  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of project activities to meet deadlines.
  • Support the Project Management team by assisting with the preparation and submittal of project schedules and progress reports.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the requisition of supplies and materials to complete construction projects and communicate to construction managers.
  • Work with the Project Manager to help engage weekly with the Area Manager and subcontractors to obtain progress reports.
  • Assist in taking action to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites
  • Assist in the development of a site safety plan and to ensure all jobs and personnel are focused on working safely and efficiently.

The position

  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of project activities to meet deadlines.
  • Support the Project Management team by assisting with the preparation and submittal of project schedules and progress reports.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the requisition of supplies and materials to complete construction projects and communicate to construction managers.
  • Work with the Project Manager to help engage weekly with the Area Manager and subcontractors to obtain progress reports.
  • Assist in taking action to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites
  • Assist in the development of a site safety plan and to ensure all jobs and personnel are focused on working safely and efficiently.
  • Identify and facilitate quality control opportunities.
  • Build rapport and engage with customers and subcontractors.
  • Perform field measurements and elevation analysis to assist the Project Manager with estimating.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks, shift priorities as needed and maintain schedules.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail and effective documentation skills.
  • Motivated to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and incorporate feedback.
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
