  • You'll gain exposure to engineering design, project development, stakeholder collaboration, construction activities, and technical problem-solving while developing practical experience in the energy industry.
  • Support engineering and project teams with the planning, development, and execution of capital projects.
  • Assist with technical reviews, project documentation, engineering deliverables, and project coordination activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to support project objectives.
  • Contribute to cost, schedule, risk, and project performance monitoring activities.

About the role

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience supporting large-scale energy infrastructure projects?

As a Projects Engineering Co-op Student, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and project professionals to support the planning, design, execution, and delivery of capital projects across AltaGas' Midstream business. You'll gain exposure to engineering design, project development, stakeholder collaboration, construction activities, and technical problem-solving while developing practical experience in the energy industry.

This role may include opportunities to travel to operational facilities and project sites to support field activities, gain exposure to project execution, and learn firsthand how engineering projects are delivered in the field.

What you'll do

  • Support engineering and project teams with the planning, development, and execution of capital projects.
  • Assist with technical reviews, project documentation, engineering deliverables, and project coordination activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to support project objectives.
  • Contribute to cost, schedule, risk, and project performance monitoring activities.
  • Support project design, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities while gaining exposure to multiple stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities to enhance engineering and project execution processes.
