Summary of Role: GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 in Malta, New York is seeking a talented and motivated Test Engineering Intern to support the Reliability Engineering team in advanced technology reliability characterization.

The intern will contribute to wafer-level and package-level reliability testing, test automation, equipment operation, and data delivery while collaborating with FEOL, BEOL, and Product Reliability engineering teams.

Essential Responsibilities include: Support development and maintenance of test programs and test capabilities for new technology reliability assessments using C#, Python, C++, and related tools.

Assist with wafer-level and package-level reliability testing, including HCI, BTI, TDDB, and EM. Execute electrical measurements using semi-automatic and fully automatic probers and support accurate, on-time data collection.

Analyze test results, troubleshoot measurement or equipment issues, and document findings for engineering review. Support standardization, automation, equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and laboratory organization.

Collaborate with FEOL, BEOL, Product Reliability, and laboratory engineering teams to support technology development and qualification activities. Other Responsibilities: Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications: Education – At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Microelectronics, or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.

Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing. Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal) Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Preferred Qualifications: Prior related internship or co-op experience Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.

Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.

Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity. Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong planning & organizational skills Coursework or laboratory experience in semiconductor devices, circuits, reliability, or electrical characterization.

Programming experience with Python, C#, C++, Visual Basic, or a related language; familiarity with probers or electrical test equipment is a plus. #InternshipProgramUS Expected Salary Range $20.
