Requirements and eligibility

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse and dynamic environment.
  • In order to be considered for a summer internship with NXP you must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term.

Preferred, not required

  • Basic understanding of Analog, Logic, Power, and/or NVM devices is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of device physics and semiconductor operation is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of statistical process control and usage of statistics analysis software (Minitab, JMP, etc) is preferred.

Job Responsibilities • Assist senior engineers in the sustaining, analysis and improvement of semiconductor products and solutions. • Monitor electrical device operation to assure conformance to quality standards and engineering specifications.

• Help troubleshoot complex process, quality and yield problems. • Design experiments, collect data, and analyze results. • Participate in technical reviews and contribute to problem-solving discussions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve individual and shared goals. • Learn and apply industry-standard tools, methodologies, and best practices.

• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other project documentation. • Perform other duties as assigned to support engineering initiatives. Job Qualifications • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related technical field.

• Strong academic record and a genuine interest in semiconductors, electronics, or embedded systems. • Basic understanding of Analog, Logic, Power, and/or NVM devices is preferred.

• Basic understanding of device physics and semiconductor operation is preferred. • Basic understanding of statistical process control and usage of statistics analysis software (Minitab, JMP, etc) is preferred.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a diverse and dynamic environment. • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail. In order to be considered for a summer internship with NXP you must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term.
