Caregiver Counselling Internship

Jarurat Care Foundation is looking for a compassionate and motivated Caregiver Counselling Intern to support patients and caregivers at Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), Parel, Mumbai.

This opportunity provides hands-on exposure to patient counselling, healthcare documentation, hospital operations, and caregiver support in a clinical environment.

The role is suited for individuals who are empathetic, eager to learn, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their caregivers.

Interns will have the opportunity to develop their healthcare communication and patient support skills while contributing to meaningful social impact.

Selected interns' day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Collect, organize, and maintain accurate patient and caregiver information and records. 2. Help patients and caregivers understand hospital documents and processes in simple and accessible language.

3. Provide compassionate emotional support and assist with patient and caregiver concerns. 4. Coordinate with hospital staff to support smooth communication and help patients navigate hospital services.

5. Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive patient information. 6. Support the counselling team with daily activities, documentation, and basic computer-based record updates.

7. Identify patient concerns, escalate them appropriately, and contribute to improving the overall patient and caregiver experience. Have a background in Psychology, which is an essential requirement for this role. • 2. Are available to work on-site in Mumbai. • 3. Can commit to a 10-month full-time internship.

• 4. Are willing to continue for a longer duration, which will be preferred. • 5. Are available Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. • 6. Have strong empathy, communication, and active listening skills, along with basic computer skills.

• 7. Be comfortable working in a hospital environment and be passionate about healthcare, patient care, counselling, psychology, or community service.
