About The Role: Hermeus is seeking talented students to join our Manufacture Engineering team in Los Angeles to support improvement initiatives to expand in-house manufacturing capabilities and contribute to the design, build, and testing of flight and critical ground support hardware. Spring: Around 16 weeks (January - April) Summer: Around 12 weeks (May - August) Fall: Around 16 weeks (September - December)

Responsibilities: • Evaluate designs for manufacturability and testing, providing feedback to design team • Design and implement tooling and test solutions where appropriate, to support component build and delivery • Develop new processes and procedures to support flight hardware builds • Manage projects and execute to tight timelines while effectively and proactively communicating with stakeholders • Provide data-driven solutions to technical issues encountered during build • Actively interface with technician and engineering teams to resolve product non-conformances and keep build on schedule • Develop and refine floor layouts • Support capacity modeling and time studies to identify and prioritize opportunities for process improvement • Collaborate with other engineers, subject matter experts, and technicians to solve large-scale and widespread production challenges

Requirements: • Practical experience designing, building, and testing vehicles through internships, studies or projects. • Must be currently enrolled in a STEM program at an accredited college or university (undergraduate student in your third or fourth year of study, or enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program). • Strong interest in vehicle hardware. • Strong understanding of engineering first principles. • Demonstrated ability to work within cross-functional teams. • Enthusiasm for aviation and Hermeus's mission. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • GPA of 3.0 or above.

The hourly rate listed for this internship is intended as a general guideline. Final compensation will be determined based on degree level. Benefits: • Time Off: Interns are eligible for 5 days of sick leave and unpaid time off. • Office Perks: Weekly paid office lunches and fully stocked breakrooms.
