Join us and help run what runs the world. This position reports to: HSE Manager __ Your role and responsibilities We are looking for a an HSE Intern at ABB Oy, IEC LV Motors in Vaasa, Finland.
In this role, you will work as a member of our local HSE team and support the employees in IEC LV Motors Vaasa in their daily HSE tasks and activities.
Please note that this role is intended for students only, and that this is an onsite role, with max 18 working hours per week. HSE is an important part of ABB.
Our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) functions drive targeted activities in the areas of health, safety and the environment. Often tasks related to sustainability and security are also part of the tasks belonging to a HSE professional.
Your primary role will be to assist, develop and maintain various HSE processes, systems and tools. You actively promote both HSE risk awareness and risk control and you are excited about supporting the organization on its journey towards an excellent health and safety culture.
Your typical tasks are: • Chemical risk assessments and maintenance of the Chemical database • Preparations of HSE communication and awareness materials • Tasks related to Personal Protective Equipment, Waste management and Recycling, Energy efficiency development and management of Critical safety risks.
• Employee and summer trainee general HSE introductions and onboarding • Close co-operation with Operations, R&D, HR and Occupational health care teams and Safety representatives as well as with external suppliers of PPE, Emergency and First aid equipment etc.
• Participation in workplace surveys, risk assessments and production related HSE development tasks • Development and simplifying HSE processes and tools with help from AI, videos etc.
