Quality Engineering Intern

Position Summary: Dee Zee, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern to support projects that improve product quality and reliability. This internship offers hands-on experience analyzing production data, participating in root cause investigations, and assisting in the development of quality documentation in a manufacturing environment.

Accountabilities: • Analyze quality data (e.g., FTT%, PPM) to identify trends and improvement opportunities. • Participate in problem-solving activities to determine root causes and corrective actions.

• Create and update documentation such as control plans, operator instructions, and appearance standards. • Assist in developing reports and dashboards to communicate quality metrics across the organization.

• Support continuous improvement projects and report progress to supervisors. Qualifications: • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with data analysis tools is a plus. • Ability to follow direction, adapt to different tasks, and manage deadlines.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Willingness and ability to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and variable temperatures.
