The Role: Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking an Industrial Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
As an Industrial Engineer Co-Op at Entegris, you will support initiatives to optimize manufacturing and materials processes within a high-tech production environment.
What You’ll Do: • The Industrial Engineering Co-Op will work alongside Industrial Engineers, Ops managers and Process Engineers to support projects of high Importance.
• Evaluate current processes and identify improvements opportunities. • Conduct time studies and develop capacity models for critical equipments and processes.
• Support weekly Gemba walks and improve our SOPs. • Assist with maintaining and updating master data in SAP. • Participate in projects aimed at reducing cycle time, scrap and improving productivity.
• Use Power BI, Excel, Copilot to build visualization dashboards to translate data into actionable insights. • What We Seek: • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset. • Familiarity with Industrial Engineering concepts and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and presentations. • Exposure to Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Experience with or willingness to leverage Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled productivity tools. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Ability to adapt to diverse team environments and organizational cultures.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative. Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year: • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Expected graduation date December 2027 - May 2029 • Eligibility: • Must be a currently enrolled student • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program • Entegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be willing and able to comply with clean room gowning requirements and work in a clean room manufacturing environment as required to support project activities.
