Ready to make an impact? We're looking for an onsite intern to join our team for the 10-week Summer Internship program (May 17 - July 23, 2027) at our headquarters in Wilmington, NC.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, September 25. How This Role Impacts Live Oak and Its People At Live Oak Bank, the Loan Syndications team helps connect borrowers with capital by working alongside banks and financial institutions that   participate   in loans originated by Live Oak.

As a Loan Syndications Intern, you will support a team that plays   an important role   in growing relationships, distributing credit opportunities, and helping execute successful transactions.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to commercial banking, corporate finance, and relationship management while working with experienced professionals across lending, underwriting, credit, and capital markets.

Your contributions will help the team stay organized, informed, and responsive while supporting the delivery of exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do at Live Oak • Support the Loan Syndications team with day-to-day activities related to loan distribution and relationship management. • Assist   in preparing marketing materials, presentations, summaries, and other documents used to communicate investment opportunities to prospective banking partners.

• Conduct research on industries, borrowers, market trends, and financial institutions to help inform team discussions and decision-making. • Help organize and   maintain   transaction data rooms, lender databases, and internal reporting tools.

• Assist   with compiling and reviewing information for internal meetings, reporting, and portfolio monitoring. • Track and organize key documentation, including non-disclosure agreements and transaction-related materials.

• Collaborate with team members across underwriting, lending, credit, and capital markets to support active projects and strategic initiatives. • Analyze data using Excel and other business applications to   identify   trends and support reporting needs.

• Attend team meetings and gain exposure to the loan syndication process from origination through execution. • Maintain a high standard of regulatory awareness including BSA, AML, CIP, and OFAC.

• Take on   additional   projects that provide learning opportunities and support team   objectives . Required Experience • Currently pursuing a   Bachelor's degree in Finance , Accounting, Economics, Business, Real Estate, or   a related   field.

• Strong interest in commercial banking, finance, capital markets, or lending. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Familiarity with AI-powered tools and willingness to apply emerging technologies to enhance financial research, reporting, and analytical processes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Proficiency   in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint. • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. • Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Preferred Experience • Prior internship, coursework, student organization involvement, or project experience related to finance, accounting, banking, economics, or real estate.

• Experience using Excel for data analysis, reporting, or financial modeling through coursework or internships. • Familiarity with financial statements and basic business concepts.

• Leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, volunteer work, or campus activities. • Interest   in commercial lending, credit analysis, commercial real estate, or capital markets.

bank . EEO is the Law The base pay range for this position is $19.77 - $32.12 per hour. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy.

A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.
