Role overview
What you'll own
- Assist in designing prototypes and conducting manufacturing experiments.
- Work with CAD and CAM software for part design and toolpath generation.
- Collaborate with team members on project tasks and research objectives.
Requirements and eligibility
- Interns will collaborate with industry professionals, faculty, and graduate students to support experimental design, data collection, project validation, and technical documentation.
- Currently enrolled in a high school, undergraduate, or graduate program with an interest in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented research environment.
Preferred, not required
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) is preferred.
- Basic understanding of machining, welding, or additive manufacturing processes is a plus.
