Team and Role Overview
The CARCAM Digital Products & Innovation team drives and scales payment solutions that extend Visa’s reach beyond traditional card models. As part of the region’s Non-Card Strategy, the team leads initiatives like Visa Accept and Visa Pay to accelerate merchant digitization, enhance interoperability across payment ecosystems, and support the transition from cash to digital payments throughout Central America and the Caribbean.
As a Non-Card Strategy & Visa Accept Governance Intern, you will contribute to a strategic regional growth initiative. Your primary project will involve designing and implementing an AI-enabled governance framework that provides end-to-end visibility of Visa Accept initiatives across CARCAM. The framework will include automated reporting, implementation tracking, risk identification, merchant onboarding and performance monitoring, and executive dashboards to support decision-making.
You will engage with Product, Sales, Technology, Client Services, and Market teams to help strengthen control and execution consistency across complex, first-time implementations in multiple countries. This internship advances three objectives: accelerating cash-to-digital conversion, expanding merchant acceptance, and enabling new merchants to successfully ramp up with Visa Accept.
As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to take on responsibilities that broaden your skills and exposure to multiple functions. Visa supports ongoing learning and development as you explore meaningful work aligned with your professional aspirations.
All Visa roles require digital fluency, including comfort with emerging tools such as Generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) for everyday work.
