Job description

Job Purpose

The Campaign Execution Intern will support the Marketing Paid Media team in developing, executing, optimizing, measuring, and reporting on integrated paid media campaigns across Xeris brands. Reporting to the Paid Meda Manager, this role provides hands-on exposure to the full paid media lifecycle, from brand strategy and tactical planning through audience segmentation (HCP and patient/DTC), campaign activation, performance optimization, measurement, and reporting. This is an opportunity to gain a broad understanding of how paid media supports pharmaceutical brand objectives while developing practical skills in media planning, campaign management, data analysis, and performance reporting. This is a summer internship based at Xeris headquarters in Chicago’s Fulton Market. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, detail-oriented, and interested in learning how marketing strategy translates into media investment and measurable business outcomes.

Essential Job Functions

·       Assist with research and development of channel recommendations across paid search, paid social, programmatic, endemic media, point-of-care, EHR, video, and other emerging channels.

·       Support audience research, development, and segmentation across HCP and patient audiences.

·       Build, document, and maintain UTM parameters for campaigns across channels, following the team’s naming conventions and taxonomy.

·       Maintain the team’s master tracking log of campaign links, UTMs, tracking tags, and landing page destinations; flag broken, missing, or inconsistent links before launch.

·       Support the day-to-day management and execution of paid media campaigns across multiple platforms and channels -- including launch checklists, gathering creative specs and assets, confirming that only MLR-approved materials and approved job codes are used, and making sure media spend is pacing correctly.

·       Assist with pre-launch and post-launch QA, including link testing, tag firing checks, and verifying that live placements match the approved plan.

·       Pull performance data from media platforms, agency and vendor reports, and web analytics tools; clean and organize data for weekly and monthly reporting.

·       Help update recurring performance reports and dashboards, and summarize key metrics and notable changes for the Paid Media team.

·       Track campaign timelines, deliverables, and open items across agencies and vendors; prepare meeting agendas and capture notes and action items.

·       Support administrative tracking of media plans, insertion orders, and invoices as directed by the Paid Media team.

·       Complete a summer project scoped with the Paid Media Manager (for example, a UTM/taxonomy audit or a reporting process improvement) and present findings to the Omnichannel Marketing leadership team at the end of the internship.

·       Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

·       Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in marketing, business, communications, analytics, or a related field, or a recent graduate.
